David co-founded Borderless Capital in 2018. Prior to Borderless, David Managed the first crypto fund in Latin America in 2015. Previously, David was a co-founder at Ripio – LatAm’s largest crypto exchange, DineroMail (acquired by PayU and Mentez/Paymentez (acquired by Nuvei).

Arul is co-founder of Borderless Capital. Prior to Borderless, Murugan was founder and managing partner at 11-11 Ventures, investing in Helium, Kraken, Baakt, Ripio, and co-led the Algorand Series A. Arul is also executive chairman at Emrit. Previously, Arul was founder and CEO at Enrich (acquired by EQT), leading 500+ employees.

Álvaro is an economist, started his career at Deloitte in the Audit practice. In 2016 he pursued his MBA at IE Business School where he founded decentralize.capital, a passive crypto fund. At Telefónica Ventures, he acted as Head of US Investments in Silicon Valley and Head of Investments from Spain. He also represented Telefónica as LP in 5 global VC funds and served in the BoD at many portfolio companies. Álvaro joined Borderless Capital as the Partner for the EdgeFi and Multi-Strategy Liquid Funds.

Amit leads the investment team guiding Borderless to to more than 150 blockchain investments across five continents for ALGO Fund I. Prior to Borderless, Amit was a Founding Principal at Unicorn India Ventures and advisor to the Woodstock Fund.

Alpen leads investments, policy, and research at Borderless. Previously, Alpen worked with the World Economic Forum’s Global Crypto Council. He also led global crypto programs and investments at Mercy Corps Ventures. Alpen received his PhD at MIT while Head of Product at Etherisc and advisor at the World Bank.

Brian is a digital entrepreneur since 2006. He successfully founded and launched 2 companies (1 exit). He is an angel investor and advisor in 20+ tech and crypto companies. He started in crypto in 2013.

Hernan has 15+ years in the Investment Banking industry with focus on Emerging Markets, highly-volatile Credit Research. Co-founded and Managed two technological companies with Blockchain integrations. Ph.D. in Economics from London University.

Carlos is a tech industry executive with 27+ years of experience helping corporations in the EU and the Americas innovate through technology. He has delivered highly performant software, system, and cloud architectures, in both production and advisory roles.

As the co-founder and CTO of Helium Systems, Sean played a pivotal role in developing the technology that created the DePIN field. Sean was also the co-founder and CTO of BlockJoy, where he innovated cost-effective blockchain operations. Sean also served as the system architect at Giphy. Beyond these ventures, Sean is one of the most valued entrepreneurs in DePIN

Nicholas Dulger joined Borderless as Head of Operations in late 2021. Prior to Borderless, he had worked for several firms including M.G. Stover, Janus Capital Group and State Street Bank. Nicholas worked in a variety of departments and oversaw several functions including Fund Accounting, Pricing and Valuations, and Operations. At Borderless, Nicholas and his Operations Team have helped to streamline our processes and introduce new procedures and policies to better meet our clients’ needs.

Zach is the Operation Analyst at Borderless. Previously, he played an integral role at M.G. Stover, where he excelled in Fund Accounting and Portfolio Operations, particularly within the digital asset sector. At Borderless, Zach leverages his expertise to cultivate and manage key relationships with Fund Administrators and Compliance Consultants, ensuring the smooth navigation of our RIA status.

Kai Sandsmark is the Controller at Borderless. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and previously worked as a Manager at M.G. Stover, a Fund Administrator we at Borderless have a close relationship with. During his time with M.G. Stover, and through his education, he has gained valuable knowledge in Fund Accounting, Portfolio Operations, and Digital Assets.

Zach Zukowski is an expert on tokenomics on our investment team. He uses concepts from complex system design, game theory, psychology, and philosophy to help teams design token models that incentivize participants in their ecosystem to behave in ways that generate network effects and help the projects achieve their goals. He constantly researches and stays up-to-date on the latest developments across the crypto industry, with emphasis on technology (consensus algorithms, cross chain communication, scaling solutions, byzantine fault tolerance), governance, use cases, and token models. Additionally, Zach manages a DeFi fund that is farming across seven blockchains.

Zach defined a framework for token models that we published on our blog in 2022, which has already been used by hundreds of token projects and referenced across the industry as the benchmark for tokenomics.

Ivonne Darias manages the administrative tasks of senior officials within an organization and responsible for the coordination of calendars, scheduling meetings, and acting as a liaison between management and employees. Ivonne Darias is a seasoned executive assistant with over 10 years of experience with all administrative tasks. In addition to her duties as an executive assistant, Ivonne is also involved in special projects involving Borderless’ very own Sophia the Robot.

Satish leads finance, HR and legal at Borderless. Satish is also the CFO for Emrit Inc. Previously, he was the CFO for Vodafone India (VBS), Tanla Platforms, Vice President in Reliance Communications, Corporate Finance in KPMG Middle East, management consultant with TCS Ltd. Satish has received Awards of CFO 100 in 2015 and 2016, recognized as Top 100 Most Influential CFOs in India, 2016.

Karan works on the proprietary fund side as an investment associate. He is responsible for analyzing Web3 investment opportunities across various Layer 1s, producing research reports on the macroeconomic environment, and on-chain analytics. His previous experience is tech and sell-side trading, something which has helped him develop unique perspectives when working with new-age Web3 dapps.
